HOMOSEXUALITY is not a disease

I know a lot of people are against gay marriage, but i'm not sure why??? Well I was so surprised when I saw a survey on a TV show which landed on an one sided opinion of people that most of the people in india think dat HOMOSEXUALITY is a disease and people have only hatred 4 homosexuals. It kind of annoys me when people judge one another. I feel its very much hyped topic and I sometimes get annoyed reading in news papers and watching TV surveys so finally I decided to put my views here and give some relief to my haunting heart.
I know people’s opinion about homosexuality varies greatly from person to person and country to country. Since I live in India where it is looked on with strong disapproval and there are other countries too where the opinions are fairly tolerant and accepting but my point is that whether one should accept them or not its their own wish but one should give them respect in the same way he/she give respect to other human’s and we shouldn’t ignore them saying it’s a disease or these people are not religious. We also cant ignore the fact that homosexual’s do exist in each and every part of world whether we accept them or not.The ironic thing to me is that the people who say "ew keep that person away from me, they're gay" are usually gross and have zero chance of being hit on, at least by any gay/bi/lesbian person with taste. If you don’t wanna accept gay/bi/lesbian its ok but atleast respect them and don’t ignore them and its also a medically proven fact that HOMOSEXUALITY Is not a disease.

  1. i agree with u shilps.... and its such an orthodox approach towards life and more than that its disgusting to judge people by their lifestyle.... everyone is independent and everyone has right and rather the wisdom to decide what is good and what is not.... we wont critisize corrupt politicians, evil policemen or all the bad things happening in a country... but we will waste time in deciding whatis correct for ppl... i think its just a narrow minded approach of all our democrats to steal the concentration away from the real issue and divert the attention... i think we should just let go of things... and understand ourself what is rite and what is not.... intruding in the lives of others or making our country a better place to live....

  3. It is sed dat all men are equal...not all straight men are equal, homosexuals n hetero sexuals are alike...n have equal rights. It is not a sin or a disease.Akhir gana bhi to he..."aadmi hu ,aadmi se pyar karta hu".This is a free country and it is our fundamental right to choose who we love, like or do and no one can curb our rights.Patrons of our culture who oppose the tides of change are nothng but hypocrates.Lets adapt the changes with an open mind and heart.Btw watch Philaedelphia starring tom hanks and denzel washington to get another take on homoseuxality(wonderful movie)

  4. Homosexuality is not a disease, i think they are just open to thr thoughts and in such kind of social situation against this matter they still do what they want to do, which means that they really have feelings for eachother. And as it said that ""Everything is fair in love and war"... may be this kind of relations are beyond a normal persons' understanding.
    +1 :)

  5. nice article.....i think the problem is tradition...its hard for people to accept the reality they r bound by d biased social rules which is preventing them from thinking rationally...most of them r either ignorant or illiterate or religiously and politically misguided....but its gud at least the younger generation can see through and decide wats rgt...i think it will take some tym for people to accept dis fact like wat happend abt AIDS or SC/ST issues.....i hope its our responsibility to educate n enlighten d ignorant n resistant people...

  7. Somehow I am completely agree. Homosexuality is not a disease. This is a similar desire that we feel for opposite sex. In case of natural sex, Men having hard skin love to feel ladies softness and vice versa. But what if a man already has soft skin or softness like girls. Obviously he would like to feel the hardness. This exactly happens in the case of a gay couple. In case of lesbian couple, exactly same principle works in opposite way. Hence Homosexuality is not a disease.

  8. it takes lot of courage and boldness to cross the social borders and accept the heterosexual partner ... and if someone does that, then it is not very tough to imagine the love they will have for each other ... it is ironical that we give importance to homo-"sexual orientation" and forget to respect and appreciate the sacred love they share(which can potentially be more than many of the heterosexual couples out there) ... i think, the love should be given more importance than sexuality ... since the former is rare and scarce, not the later one ...
